Whitefield AODS

About Us

Whitefield AODS

Established in 1922 Whitefield AODS started by performing Gilbert and Sullivan operettas, with the first being The Yeoman of the Guard. WAODS continued to produce a show every year and more recently started to produce plays alongside Musicals and in 2010 won the NODA North-West award for Best Play. WAODS has also produced regional premieres of new Musicals (Robin, Prince of Sherwood and Little Women - The Musical). In 2012 WAODS became a Registered Charity, recognising the work contributed to the local community.

The Society is run by a Committee who are responsible for the selection of shows, appointment of the production team, casting of each show, control of the show budgets as well as fulfilling our charitable duties and supporting local charities.

We always welcome new members who would like to take part either on or off stage.

Rehearsals

Our usual rehearsal nights are Tuesday & Thursday from 7.45 to 10pm with the inclusion of Sunday afternoons as the show gets closer at The New Jerusalem Church, Stand Lane, Radcliffe M26 1JQ.

Complete rehearsal schedules are always available in plenty of time to ensure you are available for the entire rehearsal period, we always do our best to work around people’s work and holiday commitments.
