Tai Chi classes for beginners.
Authentic Chen Style Tai Chi
Promotes leg strength, posture, relaxation, well-being and self defence.
Developed in the 1660's in China, Tai Chi is a combination of:
- Breathing (Qigong)
- Traditional Chinese Medicine
- The philosophy of "yin and yang"
- Martial Arts movements
Although the slow gentle exercise promotes, health, wellbeing and relaxation, all of the movemts are in fact self defence postures based on Chinese Kung Fu.
Sue Johnson has practiced this art for nearly 20 years and has trained in China at the home of Tai Chi.
She teaches around Bury, working with Age Concern Metro Bury at the Jubilee Centre and also has classes at Bury Parish Church and in Radcliffe.
