Intro
Rotary is a world wide association of local clubs for business and professional people comprised of all races and creeds who:
- Provide humanitarian service to the community at local, National and International level
- Encourage high ethical standards in all vocations
- Work for goodwill and peace throughout the world
The Rotary Club of Prestwich and Whitefield was formed in 1962. We meet weekly on a Tuesday at The Welcome Inn, Bury Old Road, Whitefield, 6-15 pm for a meal at 6-45 pm and enjoy fellowship and occasional speakers. We consider ways of how we can offer service, especially to those who are disadvantaged, both old and young alike.
The Rotary motto is "Service Above Self."
Social, sports and inter club events take place throughout the year.
We are registered with the Charity Commission, Charity Number 1035354.
To find out more, telephone either Donald 0161 773 5240 or James 0161 766 8000.
We would like to take the opportunity of thanking the residents of Prestwich & Whitefield for their kind generosity in assisting us to raise, by way of Santa and the Christmas float, the splendid sum of £3320-55.
This amount will be donated shortly to local, National and International Charities.
