Date published: 17 November 2010
As part of Bury Focus’ 'Spotlight on Radcliffe' this month we have been visiting schools in Prestwich to meet the new reception class children.
The children are all settling in well and are getting ready for their Christmas plays.
In the photo gallery we have photographs of reception classes from:
- Chaplefield Primary School
- Radcliffe Primary School
- Gorsefield Primary School
- Wesley Methodist Primary School
Children in reception at Wesley Methodist Primary School are learning phonics at the moment. Class teacher Miss Taylor said: “They are setline in lovely and really enjoying school.”
Chaplefield Primary School’s reception class teacher, Mrs Hartley said: “The children have all settled in really well. Our current topic is about space. So we have been asking the question ‘what is in space?’ we have also been learning about fireworks and bonfire night. The children are all really enjoying school.”
The reception class children at Chaplefield Primary School are now preparing for their Christmas pantomime, titled ‘Shine star shine.’
At Radcliffe Primary School the children are settling in very well. They are currently rehearsing for their Christmas pantomime, ‘Grandma’s Knitting.’
