Round table discussions at Township Forum

Residents in Whitefield and Unsworth are being asked to play their part in drawing up a blueprint to deal with local priorities.

They are invited to join “round table” discussions at the next meeting of Whitefield and Unsworth Township Forum, which is on Tuesday 10 January at the Elms Centre, starting at 1pm.

The meeting will concentrate on devising a Local Community Plan for the year. This will be an action plan of the main priorities that have been identified in various statistics and reports, and by local people themselves.

Councillor Derek Boden, forum chair, said: “This is a departure from recent meetings where people attending have sat through presentations by various organisations. We usually have a good turnout at our meetings and this will be an excellent chance for the community collectively to have a say in what is important in this area. Everyone is welcome and I hope that lots of people join us.”
