Reptile tank fire

Fire crews from Bury and Whitefield were called out to a small fire involving the electronics of a reptile tank at a house on Ringley Road in Stand just before 3pm Tuesday, 1 November.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the converted loft space of the property and stripped out the electrics of the tank.

They found a large snake dead inside.
