Man wanted for four years believed to have link to traffic collision in October
Date published: 11 January 2011
Police are hunting a man who has been wanted on recall to prison for nearly four years.
Nathaniel Conteh, 29, was recalled to prison in February 2006 after failing to attend appointments with his probation officer.
However, Conteh fled to Spain and was circulated as wanted.
In October 2010, Conteh is believed to have returned to his home town in Whitefield, Bury, and was also believed to have been involved in a road traffic accident on 12 October 2010 where he failed to stop at the scene.
He was originally sentenced to four years in prison in January 2003 for robbery.
Police are appealing to anyone who has information about Conteh's whereabouts to call the Offender Management Unit on 0161 856 8041 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
