MP calls meeting with constituents
Date published: 08 October 2010
Bury North Conservative MP David Nuttall is planning an old-style Town Hall meeting, to hear from his constituents and encourage people to re-engage with politics.
Mr Nuttall said: “The purpose of holding this meeting is to give my constituents the opportunity to meet me and hear directly from me. Some people think politicians are aloof and never answer a question and I want to challenge this perception by engaging with my constituents face-to-face. I will answer questions on any matter that is of concern to those attending. I cannot promise people will agree with my answers but they will get some straight talking.”
It will be held on Saturday 13 November in St Anne’s Church Hall, Chapel Street, Tottington, between 3-4pm, and all Bury North constituents are invited.
Because spaces are limited, people are asked to pre-register their attendance. Call on 0161 797 5007 or email andersontc@parliament.uk
