Damage to vehicles in Ramsbottom
Date published: 06 February 2012
Police in Bury have issued a warning to car owners in Ramsbottom after two cars were badly scratched on Saturday 4 February.
A ‘C class’ Mercedes and a Peugeout 207 were damaged when they were parked on the road opposite the junction of Factory Street, close to the leisure centre, between 10am and 10.15am.
The Mercedes was marked with circular patterns on the bonnet and boot and had deep scratches down the door and wing.
PC Kevin Day from the Ramsbottom and Tottington Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “The damage to these cars must have taken someone at least a minute to do so passers-by may have noticed something and be able to provide us with some information.”
If anyone has information relating to this call the Ramsbottom and Tottington Neighbourhood Policing Team on 0161 856 8025 or email them on ramsbottom.npt@gmp.police.uk
