Spectacular Lantern Parade
Date published: 24 October 2011
The Friends of Nuttall Park are holding their second annual Lantern Parade on Saturday 29 October from 3.00 pm to 7.00 pm.
Around 600 people attended last year’s event and as long as the weather holds off, the Friends are expecting more this year. Nuttall Park is located just off the centre of Ramsbottom, Bury, Lancashire and the car park is down Nuttall Hall Road and can be reached from the East Lancs Railway, which runs round the edge of the park.
There will be various stalls including pumpkin carving (please bring your own to carve), face painting, apple bobbing, doughnut eating, mask making, lantern making and refreshments. As night draws near there will be a lantern procession around the park.
It’s also a great chance to dress up in appropriate Halloween costumes to add a little bit of extra atmosphere.
