Bury awash with charity spirit

Bury Fire Fighters would like to remind the public of The Fire Fighters’ National Charity Car Wash events occurring in and around the Bury in the next few weeks. The occasions will last all day, and will be a good chance for the public to chat with Fire Officers and gain some valuable Fire Safety tips.

The dates and locations are as follows:
Bury - 17.9.11 - Bury Fire Station.
Whitefield - 17.9.11 - Whitefield Fire Station.
Ramsbottom - 17.9.11 - Ramsbottom Fire Station.

All the proceeds will raise valuable funds for The Fire Fighters’ Charity, and the event itself is intended to be a fun day out.

County Fire Officer Steve McGuirk, said: “The National Car Wash is a great opportunity for us to raise money for a worthwhile cause which has helped many fire service staff members, and their families, over the years. As in previous events of this kind we hope to see thousands of gleaming cars on the streets of Greater Manchester.”
