Afternoon tea 1940s style

Visitors will flock to the big 1940s War Weekend at Ramsbottom on 28-30 May, organised by the East Lancashire Railway.

To get everyone in the mood, an old-fashioned afternoon tea event will take place at Ramsbottom Library and Adult Learning Centre on Friday 27 May.

It’s a chance for people to put their feet up and enjoy tea and cakes while a guest DJ will play dance music from the 1940s. And if you fancy dressing up in the period style, all the better!

The price is £4 for library members and £5 for non-members, and the event runs from 2.30pm to 4.30pm.
