Great grandmother rescued from lift

An 82-year-old woman was rescued from a lift after being trapped inside for over half an hour.

Great-grandmother, Sheila Collinge, was visiting the Ramsbottom Heritage Society at Ramsbottom Library with relatives when she became trapped.

Library staff communicated with Ms Collinge through the lift shaft and contacted the fire-brigade and engineers, who were quick in re-uniting her with her family.
