Help set the priorities for Radcliffe

Date published: 02 January 2012

Round table discussions will be the order of the day when Radcliffe Township Forum meets on Thursday 12 January.

A series of workshops will take place at an informal meeting, giving local residents the chance to give their views and identify four or five key, realistic and achievable priorities to be included in the Radcliffe Area Plan.

The groups will look at themes including health, community safety, worklessness and training, housing and regeneration. Each group will be asked to give their opinions and suggest ideas to help ensure that goals are achieved.

The meeting is at Radcliffe Civic Suite and starts at 6pm. The usual open forum and public question time will be on the agenda in the second half of the meeting.

Councillor Matt Bailey, the new chair of Radcliffe Township Forum, said: “I am very excited to be taking over the role of chair at such a formative stage. I am looking to develop the function and structure of the forum meetings. This is one of the most important meetings of the year, when we set out our plan of work for the year ahead. It is vital that we have good representation from the residents of Radcliffe and we invite everyone to attend what is bound to be a lively meeting.”
