Women runners among the prizewinners in Central Lancs Grand Prix

Radcliffe AC women who were among the prizewinners at the Central Lancs Grand Prix presentation on Friday night.

Sheila Jones was first vet 55 and Eileen Royle was the first among the vet 60s at the evening event at Wigan Rugby Club.

Nine clubs took part in the grand prix and runners had to compete in six races from nine throughout the season.

There were prizes for the overall winners and also runners in age groups.

In the Preston 10 mile road race it was another vet, John Kirkham who led the three Radcliffe runners home.

Vet 60 Kirkham clocked 78mins 59secs, with Luke Hannon running 83mins 54secs and Mike Chaloner 84mins 02secs.
