Radcliffe AC runners take part in Robin Hood Marathon
Date published: 13 September 2011
Three Radcliffe AC runners took part in the Robin Hood Marathon and half marathon in Nottingham on Sunday.
Both races were run in an unseasonable 22 degrees and strong winds.
Paul Rushton and Kevin McGilvray completed the full marathon, which incorporated the half marathon route and an energy sapping 2.5mile run straight in to a head wind at the 20mile mark, Rushton finishing in 4 hrs 7 mins 11secs in 633 position out of 2,000 runners and McGilvray clocking 4 hrs 13min 40secs in 725 position.
Ann-Marie McGilvray ran the hilly half marathon in 1hr 50min 17secs, dispite having to get treatment for very badly blistered feet. She came 1,232 out of 10,000 competitors.
