Sound engineers wanted for Prestwich fund-raiser
Date published: 07 March 2011
Music fans in Prestwich are organising a one-day festival to raise money for Bury Hospice.
They hope to emulate the success of the Glaston-Bury event that has been held for the last three years at venues in Bury town centre.
Longfield Live, Riley’s and The Orange Tree are going to be the stages for V-PREST, a play on the famous V-Fest festival held at Reading and Leeds.
The date has been scheduled for Good Friday (22 April). The idea is that people buy a wristband for £5 which ensures entry to all three venues.
Bands are being booked for the big day, and more details are available via Facebook – look for Longfield Live.
Organiser Al Thomas says that many people have come forward to offer their services with PA systems and publicity – but he needs a few sound engineers to volunteer to make sure the gigs sound as good as they can be.
If you can help, call Al on 0161 253 7227.
