Triple Distinctions for all Sport National Diploma Students
Date published: 11 July 2011
Congratulations to the 19 students in the M4 BTEC National Diploma in Sport tutor group who have completed their course at Bury College this year. Each student in the group has attained a Triple Distinction, the highest grade possible for a Diploma.
Craig Mitchell, Senior Tutor in Sport said, “In their 1st year the group bonded very quickly and immediately set about meeting their targets as individuals and as a team.
"They spurred each other on when the workload was high and tasks were difficult and they are now reaping the rewards. In true team spirit this group have supported each other for the full duration of their National Diploma and have reached their goal of DDD's all round.”
14 students from the tutor group are currently holding university offers, three students are going straight into employment in the sports industry and two are aiming to secure Apprenticeships. Zach Bennett will begin a BSc (Hons) in Sports Marketing and Publications at Leeds Metropolitan University in September.
Zach said, “The help and support of the teaching staff has enabled us to succeed further than we anticipated.”
