Date published: 05 November 2011

One of the world’s top squash professionals is giving free coaching to celebrate revamped facilities in Bury.

Laura Massaro, ranked number 4, will be at Castle Leisure Centre on Thursday (10 Nov) to coach all-comers.

Thursday is the grand opening of the upgraded squash courts at Castle, which have been refurbished, deep cleaned and remarked.

Coaching will also be delivered on Thursday by Manchester-based Chris Lengthorn and by Gary Caldeira, who is based at Castle. The sessions run from 5pm to 7pm.

Squash is played by half a million people in England every month, from elite players like Laura down to local league and casual players.

Castle Leisure Centre offers squash, badminton and table tennis, all racquet sports which help to: improve fitness and stamina, develop skill and strategy; boost strength and agility; reduce stress levels; and lose weight. Games are also a good way to socialist and meet new people.

For court bookings and enquiries contact Castle Leisure Centre on 0161 253 6513.
