Back 2 Badminton for all abilities

A friendly new club has been set up for people who fancy picking up their badminton racquet again.

Thursday sessions are being offered by the Back 2 Badminton Club at Tottington High School from 8pm to 9pm.

The club has been set up by the Bury Badminton Development Group to get people back into sport and enjoy playing the game.

The club aims to provide opportunities to play singles, doubles and receive some basic coaching and is suitable for all ages and standards. Each session costs £3.

A range of different badminton opportunities have also been arranged elsewhere in the borough.

For adults who haven’t played before, there is Beginners Badminton coaching at Woodhey High School (Mondays, 8-9pm) and at Radcliffe Riverside Community Sports Centre (Mondays, 7-8pm). Again, sessions are £3.

And for those returning to the sport, there is No Strings Badminton at Parrenthorn High School (Tuesdays, 6-7pm) and at Castle Leisure Centre (Thursdays, 5.15-6.45pm). Sessions are £2.50.
