New Dentist opens in Bury

A new practice has been opened in Bury by a dentist shortlisted for two top regional awards last year.

Dr Zuber Bagasi, aged 30, has added The Synergy Dental Clinic in Tenterden Street to his Blackpool practice of the same name. He was nominated for the 2011 North-West Best Young Dentist Award and his seaside practice for NW Best Practice Award by the British Dental Association.

Unusually, the new practice is also taking on 200 new NHS patients as a goodwill gesture to the community, attracting a public queue on the opening day.

Dr Bagasi was born and brought up in Bolton, where he still lives, and trained in the Midlands. In Blackpool, he has forged a reputation as a pioneering dentist with a special interest in training and implants and is an official spokesman for his profession regionally.

The new Bury practice will include advanced implant dentistry, cosmetic dental makeovers and invisible braces, as well as a home care service and smoking cessation.

Dr Bagasi has also developed bespoke IT software for individual patient assessment and auto-generated preventative treatment plans. “The world of dentistry is changing all the time and we owe it to our patients to keep ahead of developments,” he commented.
