Five young lads from Chesham Fold have been to the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield to attend the World Snooker Championships, as part of the Youth Service commitment to providing positive activities to young people.

The youngsters, aged 14 - 15 have just completed a Duke of Edinburgh bronze award in skills section, in conjunction with Bury Youth Service and were given the treat as a reward for their hard work.

Liz Norris, Youth Worker in Bury East organized the project, she said: "It was an amazing experience for all the boys, they had a great time and it certainly will be something they remember for a very long time."
