Have your Say on Local Priorities in Bury West

Reporter: Ask Bury
Date online: 25 March 2008

The next meeting of the Bury West Local Area Partnership takes place on Wednesday 2 April at Bolton Road Methodist Church starting at 6.30pm.  Refreshments will be available.

The meeting will be different from usual meetings.  It will be more informal and time is being set aside for round table discussions about the priorities in Bury West and suggestions for addressing them.   Members of the public are welcome to join members of the partnership to come up with suggestions around four key themes: local facilities including parks and community buildings; crime and community safety; health and wellbeing; environment and traffic issues.

There will also be an update on crime issues from the local Police Inspector and a report from the Fire Service. There will also be the usual public question time at 8.15pm.

Cllr Hankey commented "As Chairman of the Bury West Local Area Partnership I would like to extend a warm welcome to all Bury West residents to come and join the meeting.

This meeting will be very different from the usual meetings. We hope to create an informal atmosphere allowing people to discuss their priorities for the next three years. Using that information we will develop the Bury West Plan 2008 - 2011 listing priorities for our community."
