Bury Council’s Community Safety Team will launch the new Whitefield and Unsworth Area Tasking Team on Tuesday 23 May 2006 at 10.30am, Whitefield Library, Pinfold Lane, Whitefield.
The Whitefield and Unsworth team is comprised of partner agencies such as the Greater Manchester Police, Greater Manchester Fire Service, Primary Care Trust and the Tenants and Residents Association who work together to tackle crime and antisocial behaviour issues pertinent their specific area.
The success of the pilot Area Tasking Team in Radcliffe has paved the way for five new teams to be rolled out over the coming summer.
The launch of the new Whitefield and Unsworth Area Tasking team will be attended by members of partner agencies and council officials who will take part in a photo-shoot and announce the new team to the wider community.
Meetings of the Whitefield and Unsworth Area Tasking Team will then be held every four weeks at Whitefield Library with the first meeting taking place on Tuesday 20 June 2006.
