Bury Markets Management is second best in Britain

Bury Markets Managers Team have been voted runners up at the Coach Tourism Awards 2006 held in Coventry on 17 May.

The team competed against scores of other entrants for first place in the Manager Of The Year 2006 category at the awards which were attended by hundreds of national companies in the group travel and tourist attraction industry.

The eventual winner of the title was David Smith an independent travel operator from Newton-le-Willows with Bury Markets Team coming an honourable second.

John Ayres, Bury Markets Business and Services Manager said: "To be recognised as one of the best managers nationwide is a sublime accolade, and full credit has to go to the whole of the Bury Markets Management Team", he added "I know that there are no prizes for coming second, but it makes me feel so proud to lead a very fine Management Team that has received national recognition already."
