Date online: 26 February 2007
On World Book Day, Thursday 1st March Ramsbottom library is hosting a lsquo;Meet the Author’ evening with a local connection.
Hazel Mary Martell wrote her first novel, lsquo;Cloughfold’, when she was working as a librarian in Ramsbottom shortly after it had opened. To celebrate World Book Day and the recent re-opening of the library, staff are delighted to welcome her back for the Lancashire launch of her latest book lsquo; The Dreamchasers’, a historical romance set in her native Yorkshire.
Hazel says: ldquo;I may be living in Yorkshire, but I have very happy memories of my time in Ramsbottom and have always kept in touch with friends I made then. I’m really looking forward to seeing the new library and hope to make lots of new friends during my visit. I know I’ve called lsquo; The Dreamchasers’ a Yorkshire romance, but really it’s for everyone, everywhere”.
The free event will start at 7.30 and refreshments will be served. There will be an opportunity to buy a personally autographed copy of the book.
