Elms Bank Specialist Arts School's special visitor

Date published: 13 March 2012

The Rotary Club of Prestwich & Whitefield took their special Santa Clause Christmas float along to Elms Bank Specialist Arts School in Whitefield a few days before Christmas.

This wonderful school, which teaches children with learning difficulties, is a regular venue for the Rotary Club every Christmas.

The students and staff were delighted to see Santa Clause sitting in his sleigh on the "carpet of snow".

The joy on the faces of the pupils was a pleasure for the teachers and Rotarians to see.

The Rotary Club of Prestwich and Whitefield was formed in 1962. We meet weekly on a Tuesday at The Welcome Inn, Bury Old Road, Whitefield, 6-15 pm for a meal at 6-45 pm and enjoy fellowship and occasional speakers. We consider ways of how we can offer service, especially to those who are disadvantaged, both old and young alike.
