Changes to Metrolink services
Date published: 13 March 2012
There will be changes to Metrolink services this weekend to allow essential engineering work to take place.
On Saturday and Sunday, 17 and 18 March, services on the Bury line will be suspended and a replacement bus service will call at all stops to Victoria, then non-stop to Piccadilly Gardens and Piccadilly Station.
Valid Metrolink tickets or passes will be needed in order to use the replacement bus service.
At the same time, services on the South Manchester line will end at Piccadilly station and will not call at Market Street, Shudehill or Victoria, and there will be no dedicated MediaCityUK shuttle service – all Eccles line services will call at MediaCityUK instead.
In addition, all Altrincham line services will run to and from Piccadilly.
Normal services on all lines will resume from the start of service on Monday morning. Posters advising passengers of the changes are on display in trams and information has also been posted at stops and on the Metrolink website: www.metrolink.co.uk
