Man dies following minor collision - Radcliffe

The family of a 74-year-old man who died after he was involved in what appeared to be a minor traffic collision in Radcliffe have paid tribute to him.
Raymond Prestwich of Grindsbrook Road, Radcliffe died following the collision on Tuesday 22 May 2007. His injuries at first appeared minor but his health deteriorated and he died on 24 May at Hope Hospital.
He leaves his partner Beryl and his three children, Lesley, Ian and Neil.
A print compositor by trade, Ray spent most of his working life at Thomson House, Withy Grove, Manchester (better known as Maxwell House and now the Printworks), where he worked on the Mirror, Telegraph and Sporting Chronicle.
After a short spell at the new Telegraph offices in Trafford Park, Ray finished his working days at P&S Textiles in Bury.
Ray will be sadly missed by his close family and by those who knew him at work and socially.
The collision happened at 9.20pm on the the M60 sliproad at junction 16. Only minor injuries were reported and Ray drove away. A short time later, at 10.15pm, Ray was involved in a second collision on Smyrna Walk in Radcliffe. He again appeared to suffer minor injuries but was taken to hospital where his condition deteriorated and he died two days later.
