I Love Recycling is a winner in Greater Manchester
Date published: 06 September 2011
Recycle for Greater Manchester announces the winner of their ‘I love recycling’ competition.
Residents who read Recycle for Greater Manchester’s ‘I love recycling’ supplement in the Manchester Evening News back in March, had the chance to win £100, by completing a quick online survey about what they thought of it.
The winning resident, Kate Garside from Bolton, received her prize from Councillor Neil Swannick, Chair of Greater Manchester Waste Disposal Authority (GMWDA).
Councillor Swannick said: “The I love recycling supplement is a fantastic way to communicate the important message of reducing waste and recycling more. The supplement represents a snapshot of our commitment to deliver to you the best solution for a Greener Greater Manchester, and the feedback we have received from the survey has helped shape the next edition.”
Kate Garside, commenting on her prize said: “I am delighted with the £100 shopping vouchers, I thought the supplement was great and it gave me lots of handy hints and tips to help me reduce, re-use and recycle. Collecting the prize at my local Household Waste Recycling Centre in Bolton was a real eye opener, as I didn’t realise that so many items can be recycled. I am looking forward to reading the next edition to find out more ways to save money and help the environment.”
Look out for ‘I Love Recycling’ coming through your door in Bury from the 12th September. This issue is packed with great articles to inspire and inform you of all things recycling related. Find out what to do with old furniture and discover how convenient the i-Phone and Android App is for recycling on the go. It also includes how you can make the world of difference by recycling all your paper and card.
It’s a great opportunity to read all about how you can make Greater Manchester a greener and better place to live, as well as save money!
For your chance to win £100, then don’t forget to fill in the survey on the Manchester Evening News website after reading the supplement.
