GCSE results at Bury Grammar School Boys 2010

This summer 90 Fifth Form boys made 887 subject entries. The overall percentage of entries graded A* to C was 96%. The A* to C pass rate for Mathematics and English Language, taken by all boys, was 100%. The percentage of entries graded A* or A was 48%, with 17% of the boys achieving A* or A in all 10 of their subjects.

Stephen Hoyle and Joshua Patel achieved A* in all 10 subjects.

The following boys achieved A* or A in all 10 subjects. The number of A* Grades is given in brackets. James Andrew (9), George Grey (8), Alexander Trafford (7), Samuel Excell (6), Harry Slingsby (6), Jack Smithies (6), David Barker (4), Luke Goodchild (4), Kiran Mistry (4), Peter Owen (4), Taimur Randhawa (4), Andrew Page (3) and Jack Whittle (2).

The names of all the boys are listed overleaf, together with the total number of subjects passed. The first figure represents A*-D passes (D being the lowest grade achieved this year) and the second figure (in brackets) A*-C passes.

Headmaster, the Revd Steven Harvey, said: ‘The boys are to be congratulated for these very pleasing grades. The results reflect very well indeed on the hard work of the boys and their teachers, and enable the boys to proceed with confidence to their A Level studies.’
