Date published: 28 May 2010
A busy agenda awaits visitors to the next meeting of Whitefield and Unsworth Local Area partnership.
The LAP will have a new chair, Councillor Joan Grimshaw, when it meets on Monday June 7 at Elms Community Centre.
Other new faces on the panel include newly-elected councillors Ann Audin and Robert Caserta, plus Inspector Mark Kenny, the new inspector for Whitefield and Prestwich.
Cllr Grimshaw said: “It's business as usual this month and a very busy agenda.
“I'm particularly interested to hear the latest about the Local Development Framework which will highlight what development is needed in Whitefield over the next ten years.
“This has been a very topical issue whenever we discuss town centre plans at meetings.”
The agenda includes reports from the youth area manager, Local Area Partnership manager, children’s services and the police. The meeting starts at 6.30pm, and will feature the usual open forum.
