Date published: 28 April 2010

An image of a man wanted on recall to prison has been released.

Thomas Joyce (born 16/05/1973) was last known to be living in the Bury area.

He was sentenced to eight years imprisonment in 2001 and was released on licence in January 2010.

His conditions included residency at a probation hostel but he failed to return there on 27 March 2010.

Joyce is described as a white man, aged 36, 6ft tall, of medium build with blue eyes and brown hair. He speaks with an Irish accent.

He has family in the North Manchester area and Ireland.

Police Sergeant Rachel Devalle, based at Grey Mare Lane Police Station, said: "Offenders are released on licence to prove they can live lawfully after their time behind bars and by failing to comply with his conditions, Joyce has failed to show the authorities he is ready to do that.

"If you know where he is or have seen him, please contact me."

Anyone with information is asked to call Grey Mare Lane Police Station on 0161 856 3508 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
