Gearing up for a sizzling party in the park

Plans are well under way for the biggest event in the Bury East calendar – the annual Party in the Park.

This year’s event takes place in Openshaw Park on August 8, with a wide range of attractions and entertainment.

While summer may seem a long way off, party organisers need residents and businesses to get involved now and help make the event a huge success.

Lead organiser for the event, Bury East Local Area Partnership manager Kim Griffiths, said: “We are already busy booking in various attractions and this is going to be a big and colourful event with something for everyone. We want to make build on the successes of previous years and make this a day that everyone will enjoy and remember. We would also welcome help from any interested local businesses in terms of sponsorship for the event and raffle prizes.”
