Woman dies following collision in Whitefield

A woman has died following a collision in Whitefield.

At 6.15am on Sunday 14 March 2010, a Peugeot 207 and Ford Mondeo collided on Bury Old Road, at the junction of Nursery Road.

The driver of the Peugeot, a 25-year-old woman, died at Hope Hospital the next day after suffering serious injuries.

The man driving the Mondeo was also seriously injured and remains in hospital in a stable condition.

Bury Old Road was closed for six hours while the incident was dealt with.
