Man critical following collision

A man is in a critical condition following a serious collision in Prestwich.

At about 6.10pm on Sunday 14 March 2010, police were called to the junction of Heywood Road and Chatsworth Avenue, following a report of a collision between a car and an off-road motorcycle.

Officers attended and found the rider of the motorbike had a serious head injury.

The 22-year-old was taken to hospital where his condition is described as critical.
