Bury Market listed in Guardian top 10

Bury Market has featured in a Top Ten list produced by the Guardian newspaper.

The weekly top ten lists in the travel section cover issues ranging from budget eats, travel apps for an i-phone and music festivals.

Bury Market featured in the listing alongside Borough Market, Catterick Market and the multicultural Leicester Market.

The Guardian’s top ten on the best markets stated that ‘Bury’s Market has dominated local shopping for five centuries’.

Markets Manager Andrew Heyes said: “It is great that Bury has been recognised nationally as one of the best markets to visit in the United Kingdom. We have a lot to offer and it really proves that the market has some great food and goods to offer both the local community and visitors from further afield."
