Four arrested after man shot in legs

Four men have been   after a man was shot in both legs in Bury.

The shooting happened at about 1pm on Vernon Street, Bury.

The victim, aged 25, was confronted in his home and shot twice in each leg.

He was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.

A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and two others, aged 20 and 27 have been arrested on suspicion of attempting to pervert the course of justice.

A fourth man has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to rob.

All remain in police custody for questioning.
