Benefits bus back in Bury
Date published: 30 June 2009
The Mobile Advice Centre will be out and about across the borough from July 6 to 10.
The “benefits bus” is staffed by officers from Bury Council who can give advice about housing/council tax benefit and other welfare benefits.
The team can also check the progress of any claim, and take evidence to support a new claim or where circumstances have changed.
The bus will visit the following locations, between 10am and 3pm: Kay Gardens, Bury (Monday July 6); Radcliffe Piazza (Tuesday July 7); Bury Market (Wednesday July 8); and the Longfield Centre, Prestwich (Thursday July 9). On Friday July 10, it will visit Radcliffe Piazza (9.30am to 11.30am) and Shire Gardens (noon to 3pm).
The advice centre is fully accessible with a ramp for disabled access. No appointments are necessary.
