Bury Tourist Information Centre on the move to state of the art building

Bury's Tourism Information Centre in the Met Theatre closed on 21 March in preparation for its move to the new Fusilier Museum on Moss Street in the town centre’s culture quarter.

The Tourist Information Centre will reopen on Monday 30 March in its new home The move will allow vital space at the met to be used to allow the Met to expand its operations.

Councillor Beverly Sullivan, the Executive Member who covers Culture, said: “Locating Tourist Information Centres in visitor attractions is increasingly common. With the new transport museum set to open later this year there is a growing cluster of attractions in Bury's historic core which will see more visitors come to the town. The new facility will allow visitors easy access to all the information they need and help encourage visitors to spend more time in Bury”.

The Tourist Information Centre opening hours will remain unchanged 10 till 5 Monday to Friday, 10 till 4 on Saturday....
