Man charged after cannabis farm found

A man has been charged after hundreds of cannabis plants were recovered during a raid in Bury.

Thang Quyet Le (born 09/07/1972) of Manchester Road, Bury, is charged with cultivation of cannabis and is due to appear before Bury Magistrates' Court today, Wednesday 25 February 2009.

Under the Misuse of Drugs Act, officers from the Bury Drug Unit and Neighbourhood Policing Team executed a warrant at a house on Manchester Road on Tuesday 24 February 2009.

While searching the house, officers discovered 439 plants.
