Trio charged after teenager shot in the eye

Three people have been charged with firearms offences after the death of an 18-year-old girl who was shot in the eye with an air weapon.
Just before noon on Sunday 7 December 2008 police were called to Oram Street in Bury following reports of a woman with serious injuries.
On arrival officers found Rachel Davies, 18, had been shot in the eye with an air weapon and taken to hospital. Her condition deteriorated and she died on Tuesday 23 December 2008.
Three men have today, Monday 9 February 2009, been charged with possession of a firearm without a certificate. They are Stephen Hodgson, born 27/2/80 of Walnut Avenue, Bury, David Peter McKeon, born 19/2/81 of Rutland Drive, Bury, and Clint Kirkham, born 16/5/80 of Wash Lane, Bury.
All three will appear at Bury Magistrates Court on 18 February 2009.
A 28-year-old man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder has been released without charge in relation to this offence.
