Get your ticket for this year’s Annual Bury Sports Awards

Nominations for the Annual Bury Sports Awards have now closed, but for your chance to celebrate all of the sporting success Bury has seen over past year you now have the chance to purchase a ticket for the awards ceremony which takes place on 6 February.

The tickets cost £15 each and can be reserved by contacting Andrea Pilling on 0161 253 6463 or they can purchased from the Sports Development Team Office at Castle Leisure Centre. The tickets will be on sale until 30 January.

The ceremony takes place on 6 February at Bury Town Hall at 7pm. Guest speaker at the event will be Olympic bronze medal winner and BBC Radio Five Live sports pundit Steve Parry.

Awards will be presented for the following categories:

Coach of the Year – A community, club or school based coach who has made a significant impact to the development of performers in their sport

Club of the Year – A sports club which has made a significant impact or contribution to the development of the sport in the community

Volunteer in Sport of the Year – A person who has volunteered their time and made a significant impact to the development of performers, club, community or school

The Unsung Hero in Sport Award – A person who has made an impact over a number of years on people, club, school or within the community

Sports Achiever of the Year – A sports performer who has made significant improvement in their development as a player/athlete

Disabled Sports Achiever of the Year – A person who has made a significant contribution or improvement in their development as a disabled sports player/athlete
