Three girls missing from home

Police in Bury are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of three teenage girls, who have been missing since Friday night.

Mercy Mareyeni, aged 15, Nicole Derbyshire aged 14 and Fatima Abdulkadir aged 15 were last seen on Hudcar Lane, Bury around 6.30pm on Friday 29 January 2010.

Nicole was wearing a white jacket and jeans, Fatima was wearing a black jacket and jeans. It is not known what Mercy was wearing.

It is though the girls had travelled to Birmingham on Friday evening for a night out but it is not clear whether they are still in Birmingham or if they have returned to the Bury area.

Bury's Missing from Home Coordinator Terence Ogden said: "These girls are young and vulnerable and we need to know they are safe and well.

"If any of the three girls is reading this or if you have seen the girls at any stage since Friday I would ask you get in touch with police straight away."
