Man charged following assault on officers

A man has been charged following an assault on two police officers.

Sheni-Karamzadeh Arman (born 23/7/76) of Brentwood Court, Prestwich, has been charged with indecent assault, common assault and two counts of police assault.

He is due to appear before magistrates in Tameside 3 February 2010.

On 21 January 2010, two officers attended to a report of an indecent assault on a 31-year-old woman at a flat on Brentwood Court.

Officers struggled with a man, who threatened them with a knife, forcing them to back away. A male officer was injured to his right shoulder and suffered facial cuts, and a female officer suffered back and neck injuries.
