Man wanted in connection with thefts from cars

Police have released the image of a man they would like to trace after a number of cars in Bury were broken into.

Jonathan William Pennington (born 17/2/79) has links to Salford and Prestwich. His last known movements were over a year ago.

Officers wish to speak to him about a theft from a Peugeot 106 on Wednesday 9 December 2009, on Highfield Road in Prestwich.

The car door's hinge was pulled back, and its CD player was pinched.

Officers believe that the same offenders were responsible for a number of thefts from cars in the same area, including the theft of a set of golf clubs from a Peugeot 206 outside a house on Kingswood Road, Prestwich, on 19 January 2010.

Pennington is white, 5ft 10in tall and of slim build.
