Police release image of man suspected of stealing van from Bury

Theft of van in Bury

Police in Bury have released an image of a man who is wanted in connection with the theft of a van.

On 1 November 2011, a blue LDV 400 van was stolen from a property on Moyse Avenue in Walshaw, Bury.

The van also contained a number of plant equipment and power tools.

Later that same day, the vehicle was taken to a dealer in Ashton to be scrapped.

Man charged following kidnap incident

A 32-year-old has been charged in connection with the kidnap of a woman earlier this week.

Owen Lawrence, of no fixed address, but formally of Lune Walk, Whitefield, has been charged with one offence of kidnap and two offences of sexual assault.

He was due to appear before Bury Magistrates Court on Wednesday 8 February 2012.
