A Whole Lot Of Hub

In order to raise awareness of the Northern Hub campaign and garner support from the business community, the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce have produced post cards that individuals can sign to show their commitment to the building of the Hub.

The postcards will be handed to the Secretary of State for Transport, the Rt Hon Justine Greening MP, to demonstrate the support for the project.

Unemployment Claimant Count Rises

The number of people claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance in Greater Manchester has risen. Last month 81,974 people claimed the benefit compared with 81,732 the month before.

Clothes chains enter administration

The owner of clothing chains Peacocks and Bonmarche – which has stores in Bury - has said it plans to place both businesses into administration.
