An information and advice day to mark World Mental Health Day is being held in Bury’s Mill Gate centre.

Bury Council’s adult care services, funded through the Age of Opportunities scheme, will have a stall outside Boots on Friday 8 October.

The adult care team is working in partnership with the child and adolescent mental health service, Richmond Fellowship, Carers Centre, Streetwise and PALS.

Volunteers will be there to answer queries and there will be lots of information and freebies to take home.

On the same day, Choices, on Parsons Lane, will also be holding an open day on the theme “Social Inclusion and Recovery”. There will be a coffee morning from 10am followed by a musical performance at 1.30pm by the service user music group.

There are free refreshments, and everyone is welcome.
