Events in Bury - Tours

A giuded walk to learn about Bury's most famous son plus a visit to the Bury Museum to view a special display of personal artefacts of the Peel family.

The walks are open to all. Participants should meet at Bury Museum Reception Desk. Walks last for approximately one hour. No need to book.

Join Helen Castle, the museum's conservation and access officer, for a look behind the scenes at the collection and the newly restored building.

12.30pm to 1.30pm - Public lunchtime concert with Simon Lindley (organist at Leeds Parish Church and Leeds Town Hall and Phillip McCann (one of the country's top cornet players).

Members of the public are most welcome to attend, although there is an admission charge of £4.00.

Join Col.Mike Clover as he explores buildings and monuments around the Town which are associated with the Lancashire Fusiliers. The tour includes free admission to the Fusiliers museum

Join a short guided tour and learn more about the history of this fascinating Theatre.

Grade I listed building, originally 12th century, with medieval arch, arcades and tower. Victorian re-ordering, Kempe window. Adjacent to 15th century Radcliffe Tower - Pele Tower.

The church is famous for its starring role in many 'Coronation Street' weddings and funerals. Access to the church tower, weather permitting. Information leaflets will be available.
